Improve your Maths skills

Are you struggling with GCSE Maths?

Each member of our staff is an experienced Maths tutor and they are extremely well-versed in helping students achieve beyond their expectations in Maths GCSE exams.

Our experienced Maths tutors have a specific focus on GCSE Maths exam help, and our methods have resulted in excellent grades throughout that time.

Each Maths tutor is well-versed in every aspect of the National Curriculum and will help students understand the concepts behind the questions on every exam board, whether AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or any other. The method that we apply works well with every Maths student, as we don’t focus on the specifics but rather on the relationship between mathematical foundations.

Our team are all experienced tutors and can guarantee that, when our method for understanding mathematical grounding is applied correctly, all students will be able to achieve at least a grade 7 at their GCSE Maths exams.

Topic-Led Sessions

Key Stage 3 topics (Foundation & Higher):

  • Numbers

  • Algebra & Graphs

  • Geometry & Measures

  • Probability & Statistics

Key Stage 4 topics:

  • Number

  • Algebra & Graphs

  • Ratio, Proportion & Rates of Change

  • Shapes & Area (Foundation) or

Step-by-Step Methods, with Demonstrations

Having established a challenging area within a topic, each Maths tutor will draw on their experience to break the methods down into simple steps for students to write down for future reference.

Once students have noted down the necessary steps, the Maths tutor will then show them how to put these steps into practice by using them in a question.

Understanding Through Practice

Students will get the opportunity to try the steps for themselves in one or two further questions.

The success that students will gain from this first-hand experience will have the dual effect of cementing the methods in their minds and boosting their confidence.

About Community Education Services (UK) Ltd

How our workshops help you:

Who are the workshops for?

These workshops are for KS3 and KS4 Maths students working at Foundation and Higher levels.

What will be taught in the Zoom class?

In these sessions, students will be guided through the topics from the current Maths curriculum. We will give step-by-step methods then demonstrate them via practice questions so students completely grasp each topic. Because these are workshop sessions, no homework will be assigned.

How will improvement be shown?

During the sessions, some work will be marked on a first-come, first-served basis within the session. All students will receive this work as model answers to assist in improving their work. Moreover, school term assessments will provide parents with real evidence of how these tools are helping their children to improve.

How many students are in a class?

Our classes will contain up to 100 students (but this may vary according to demand), as we want to help as many people as possible, as reflected in our inexpensive prices, given the social impact of the Covid virus(es).

Won't large classes affect the quality of our online teaching?

No. We spend the lesson applying the tools to different levelled questions. In short, we spoon-feed students.

How will you cope with students at different levels?

It simply doesn't matter what level students are at, as we'll apply the methods to basic, intermediate & higher level questions for each challenging topic area encountered throughout the lesson.

How do you resolve technical issues?

We can only provide support if students don't have technical issues with their Zoom setup and mic. So, they must resolve any technical issues before the workshop commences, and especially make sure they can communicate and receive materials through their chatbox.
